The existing permission allows for the co-firing, with traditional fuels of up to 90,000 tonnes per annum of solid recovered fuels, 40,000 tonnes per annum of meat and bone meal and 30,000 tonnes per annum of chipped used tyres. The co-firing of these 3 alternative fuels is subject to a maximum permitted total of 120,000 tonnes per annum for all alternative fuels used in combination.
