Development Description an increase in the capacity of the operational Ash Disposal Facility to allow for the deposition of 130,000 tonnes of dry ash over and above the 550,000 tonnes permitted under Longford County Council Reg. Ref. 01/115; An Bord Pleanala Reg. Ref. PL14.125540. The ash will be disposed of within engineered cells, constructed under the existing permission, and the facility will utilise permitted site services including the existing site entrance from the R392 and other site infrastructure. The facility will exclusively accept ash from Lough Ree Power Station in Lanesborough (Lanesboro) and will operate until 31st December 2020. This planning application will be accompanied by an EIA Report (previously known as an EIS). Lough Ree Power Station and the associated Ash Disposal Facility, are licenced by the EPA under an Industrial Emissions (IE) Licence [Ref. P061002].
