Hazelwood House and the Southern range of outbuildings will operate as a visitor attraction. The Northern range of outbuildings will accommodate 5 retail units. Hazelwood House is a protected structure. The restoration includes the demolition of some of the additions/extensions to the original house; the construction of 158 detached houses, 54 apartments in 4 blocks, 13 berths, a creche and 2 ESB substations/switch rooms; site development works and landscaping, access roads, public lighting, utilities including foul pumping stations, inprovements to the R286 Dromahair Road at the Hazelwood Avenue junction and ancillary works to facilitate the development. An existing surface car park will be reduced in area and reconfigured to provide 127 car parking and 4 coach parking spaces (the overall number of car parking spaces is 551). Overall gross floor area of proposed buildings is 41,572sqm. Site area is 33.13 hectares. An EIS accompanies this application.
