PERMISSION for demolition of 2 no single storey cottages, a two storey bar and 3 outhouses (total area 647sqm) and the construction of a 3 storey, over basement, 67 bedroom hotel with a gross floor space of 4,999sqm (including 1,852sqm at basement level), a seperate 236 sqm restaurant at ground floor level fronting Old Road (Village Road) and an adjoining block of 4 no 2 bed apartments over 2 floors with a gross floor space of 381sqm. Both the hotel and apartments include balconies, terraces and landscaped roofs. The proposed development will also consist of the provision of 94 car parking spaces at basement level; provision of a vehicular access to basement level which will be accessed from New Road (Promenade Road) via a new vehicular passage under Old Road (Village Road) including necessary bridging and realignment of existing services; provision of a new pedestrian access and partial realignment of Old Road (Village Road); associated plant; associated bicycle parking; lifts; roof mounted solar panels; associated gates; hard and soft landscaping works; realignment of boundary treatments (including temporary hoarding (for the period of construction) to surround the site with associated lettering/signage employed for the purpose of advertising, announcement and direction); services provision; changes in level and all other associated site development and excavation works above and below ground.
