Proposed Development

Development Description: development comprising the extending of existing animal feed mill facility capacity by the provision of a new stand alone multi-species animal feed mill for the production of animal feeds and ancillary works. The proposed development shall comprise the following key elements; proposed new mill building situate to rear and southeast of existing mill facility to be constructed in 2 phases. The building shall comprise steel portal frame construction (or equal approved) clad in proprietary insulated metal cladding. The building shall contain a minimum of 7 floors above ground level and contain a number of sub-decks housing the process equipment. A basement shall be contained within a portion of the building also. The over all building shall not exceed 40m at the eaves. Planning is further sought for ancillary buildings attached to the proposed mill associated with the production process including; Raw product intake building not exceeding 15m at eaves. Proposed bag store/packaging building adjoining proposed mill building constructed in metal clad portal frame building, having eaves ranging from 8m to n/e 18m. Workshop with loading bay over same. Boiler house, pump house and rolling plant building. Ancillary raw product storage silos, bins and tanks associated with the production process. The main mill should further contain process plant, finished product storage, control building including unit substation and control panel rooms, weighbridge office, control office, staff accommodation and ancillary facilities associated with the production process and ancillary works. A non-exhaustive list of the external site works & ancillaries include the following: Augmentation and improvements to existing vehicular entrance to the site. Site drainage infrastructure including storm and foul sewerage works including augmentation to both services and associated works which may be contained in the public road and ancillary works. Cutting and filling works to achieve desired formation levels for the works including the importation and laying of suitable fill material to achieved desired formation level. Under grounding and diversion of overhead or other services at conflict with the proposed works. HGV and carparking facilites. Internal road ways & circulation areas. Connection to adjoining utility services.Augmentation of existing mains water supply and ancillary works contained in the public roadway associated with same. Static water store/stormwater attentuation storage.
