Extension, reconfiguration and part demolition of existing Motorway Services building to provide and extended ground floor level and new first floor level resulting in an increase from 951sq.m to 1,785sq.m gross floor area. The extended facility will provide the following accommodation .Ground Floor Level ( 1,374sq.m ) including forecourt convenience shop (218sq.m ), 4no. cafe/ restaurant units with common seating area ( 642sq.m )covered external (74sq.m )and internal ( 75sq.m ) children’s play areas, public toilets ( 74sq.m ) and ancillary staff and store areas ( 365sq.m ). First Floor Level ( 388sq.m ) Ancillary office and staff areas including management/administration areas, store rooms and toilets all accessed via internal lift/stair cores. Permission is also sought for all associated site and development works including minor revisions to hard and soft landscaping, reconfigured service yard, signage and external storage areas. The access roads, truck parking (42no. spaces ) and bus parking (5 no. spaces ) areas to serve the building are unchanged. The reconfigured car park provides a total of 226 no. spaces including 61 no. staff parking spaces. The layouts of fuel pumps/ canopies and ESB sub-station are unchanged from previously permitted.
