Development Description:
The refurbishment and re-use of part of Dunleckney Maltings, Bagenalstown, a protected structure. It is proposed to refurbish building 4 (323sqm) for re-use as an enterprise centre, ancillary to the existing primary industrial use, to include visitor reception, visitor facilities, promotion of industrial building including maltings and brewing. The proposed works will include the removal of the following: modern rainwater goods; upper floor of timber and concrete; timber and metal shutters; blockwork infill to openings, together with all existing building services to Building 4, and modern kiosk and weighbridge. It is proposed to refurbish Building 4 with the installation of insulated composite panel corrugated metal roofing, timber windows to the existing openings and unblocked openings, install a new raised insulated timber floor to the ground level using salvaged boards, form six new openings fitted with glazed doors, install two external ramps and internal ramp and timber decks to the south and west sides, install a mezzanine level, sanitary facilities, kitchen and reception/servery, clad out the existing mass concrete buttresses in brick to match with signage to form main entrance, new paving to the courtyard, installation of new parking facilities for sixteen cars including two accessible spaces, parking for a coach, bicycles, external lighting, bunded oil storage tank behind fencing, new foul drainage underground pump unit and connection into main drainage
